SlashCache was originally designed to prevent the "slashdot effect" for links posted on the popular website Slashdot. However, it is now being redesigned to be a general temporary web page mirroring tool.

The plan is to have anyone input a URL to mirror. SlashCache will make a temporary mirror of the specified url and delete it after a certain amount of time.
